Sangita Shah (Chair)
Sangita Shah has extensive experience in corporate finance, journalism and senior consultancy. She is the non executive Chair of AIM traded Bilby plc, a board director of NASDAQ listed Forward Industries Inc. and a director to Global Reach Technology EMEA Limited and a board director of the Quoted Companies Alliance. She has held a number of senior roles within blue chip organisations, including Unilever, Mars, Ernst & Young and KPMG and is a past President of the Chartered Institute of Journalists. Sangita is also a regular consultant to a number of companies and to HM Cabinet Office. Sangita is a qualified accountant and a frequent key note speaker in forums for the Windsor Leadership Trust, European Parliament and European School of Management.
Soraya Narfeldt, (CEO)
Soraya Narfeldt is a UK citizen who was raised in Sierra Leone by a Scottish father and a Lebanese/African mother. In 2004, Soraya set up RAI FZCO to provide catering, procurement and other services to US multi-nationals, various UN agencies and other western governments. She is a strong advocate and supporter of responsible business practice and has contributed articles on the subject to a number of recognised journals such as Forced Migration Review.
Lars Narfeldt, (COO)
Lars Narfeldt is a Swedish citizen who spent the first fifteen years of his post university career working with the Swedish government and the UN. Lars worked with SIDA in Palestine and with the UN in The Democratic Republic of Congo, Uzbekistan, Sierra Leone and Afghanistan. While in Sierra Leone, Lars managed a team of over 2,000 individuals and ran the UN Volunteer Programme.
Paul Jaques (NED)
Lieutenant General Paul Jaques CB CBE joined RA International as a non-executive director on 1 December 2022. Paul is a Crown Representative and prior to his retirement from the regular British Army in 2019, Paul served as Chief of Materiel (Land) in the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and Quarter Master General for the Army. He was commissioned into the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers in 1983 and has a wealth of experience commanding engineering, infrastructure and logistic units on operations in the Middle East and Former Yugoslavia and delivering complex programmes across the whole of Defence.
David Marshall, (Interim CFO)
David Marshall is a UK qualified chartered accountant, beginning his career in auditing at KPMG in 2008, before moving to the UAE to become Senior Finance Manager for Driver Group Plc. As interim CFO, David is responsible for overseeing the Finance function, including forecasting, financial reporting, audit and taxation. Before becoming interim CFO, David spent 6 years with RA as our Group Financial Controller, supporting the previous CFO, as well as taking ownership over designing, reviewing and implementing all our financial processes and procedures, including managing our cash flow.
